Assassin’s Creed Origins is getting released in two days and Ubisoft decided to treat us with a gift, the first 20 minutes of the game. If you don’t like to get spoiled then you shouldn’t go on reading this article, even though there are only minor spoilers about the protagonist’s past and not major story plot ones. For all of you who can’t wait to find out about the game’s opening, enjoy!
From the first seconds, you can see that Assassin’s Creed Origins is a masterfully made video game. Glimpses of Egypt’s everyday life pass in front of your screen followed by the arrival of Pharaoh Ptolemy in the protagonist’s hometown, Siwa. This is a flashback which doesn’t indicate much but gives the player a taste of how Bayek’s life was before the start of the events that changed him.
Bayek afterward has an encounter with Rudjek, the Heron which he then kills by saying that he will kill everyone has was in Siwa that day and that’s how the game begins. The first battle of Assassin’s Creed Origins is with Hypatos Rudjek’s bodyguard who wants to fight you as a sign of honor. This fight is a stunning example of how the Assassin’s Creed battle system has evolved.
Dealing light and heavy attacks on the enemy while timing your dodges seem to be essential to get through it, but either way this one looks like a tough one. This won’t be the only one as you may encounter many guards called Phylakes when trying to find your way in certain temples, so you better forget what you already knew about Assassin’s Creed battles.
The most amazing part of the video though is the next one where Bayek explores an ancient Egyptian temple, needless to say, that seeing this only is a huge reason to buy the game. Maybe Ubisoft saw that as an opportunity to boost the game’s preorders and that’s why the published the video.Even out of pure curiosity anyone would be intrigued to see what lies inside an Egyptian temple and the game creates the perfect mood to deliver this.
After exploring the temple Bayek returns to Siwa after a long time with the help of an old friend where they are asked to battle guards one more time. With a bit of exposition and a new target for you to assassinate, your journey on the game begins.
This Assassin’s Creed Origins First 20 Minutes video is a perfect example of how this game will probably be one of the best in the franchise. Models look lifeline, the buildings and environment are polished and seems like it was really well worked on, just by the looks of it anyone could say that it will be a hit. With only two days remaining for its release, we are patiently waiting for the first reviews to see how it’s holding up.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is releasing on October 27 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
