Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Library Gets Its First Original Xbox Games
Xbox One backwards compatibility library was promised to get the original Xbox games. After months, Microsoft has finally added the very first Xbox games to Xbox One backward compatibility. Games like Star Wars, Black, and more are going to be available starting today.
The list of games leaked yesterday which led many to speculate about its authenticity but thankfully, Microsoft confirmed that these games are indeed coming to Xbox One backward compatibility.
- BloodRayne 2
- Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
- Dead to Rights
- Fuzion Frenzy
- Grabbed by the Ghoulies
- Ninja Gaiden Black
- The King of Fighters Neowave
- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
- Red Faction 2
- Sid Meier’s Pirates!
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Xbox One backwards compatibility is alive and kicking, according to Phil Spencer, players have spent millions of hours into this feature. To think that players or Microsoft are ignoring backwards compatibility is not true.
It’s not true that people don’t play it. I’ve seen those online arguments about nobody uses it or everybody uses it. It’s not true that everybody plays backwards compatibility games, it’s not true that no one does. A lot of the data is third-party data so I can’t really tell you how many people are playing a certain game; it’s not my game.
More games will be added as time goes by; Microsoft is currently focused on the release of Xbox One X. Expect more fluidity in content once the company has successfully released its new console.
