Final Fantasy 15 Comrades Expansion is Delayed, No Release Date

By   /   Oct 21, 2017

Fans of Final Fantasy have been eagerly waiting for the next Final Fantasy 15 expansion, it seems though they’ll have to wait a bit longer. As announced by Square Enix today, Final Fantasy 15 Comrades expansion will be released early November instead of its earlier release date which was for October 31st.

As the company announced earlier today on Twitter, Final Fantasy 15 Comrades is in need of final adjustments so that it will be able to satisfy the fans needs. Even though the delay seems a bit harsh, waiting a couple more weeks doesn’t seem like such a big issue.

Comrades is a downloadable expansion for Final Fantasy XV. It adds cooperative multiplayer to the game and allows players to create a customizable avatar and take on quests with up to three other players online. The expansion is set between Chapter 13 and 14 of the main game.

As the description of the Final Fantasy 15 Comrades expansion on Final Fantasy Wiki says about its content:

The goal is to collect meteor shards to power up power stations to provide electricity to other areas. The players progress as they connect the power line and along the way unlock perks for their characters. By completing quests, the players get items to upgrade their weapons. They can rescue NPCs and have them settle in the town and set an NPC to be the town leader, with each NPC leader providing different perks. Players can communicate by a variety of preset phrases or voice chat.

In other news, Final Fantasy 7 Remake director Tetsuya Nomura gave a big tease for the game in an announcement in Famitsu. We may be hearing more about it at Paris Games Week 2017.

Square Enix will deliver new content to Final Fantasy XV throughout this year ending with episode Ignis expansion in December. However, game director Hajime Tabata has revealed that plans have been changed and Final Fantasy XV will get more content in 2018.
