Far Cry 5 is a few months away from launch and Ubisoft has revealed the Resistance Edition for its upcoming first-person shooter which will please avid collectors of the special editions. However, Far Cry 5 Resistance Edition is exclusive to Gamestop.
Far Cry 5 Resistance Edition will include the base game, season pass, a steelbook, and some additional content. This edition will also include the 16.5-inch statue of Nick Rye, and his dog, Boomer along with a bandana, a beer koozie, a pin, and some postcards.
Far Cry 5 Resistance Edition will be PlayStation 4 and Xbox One exclusive and will be priced at $199.99 and as we mentioned before it will only be available through Gamestop.
In related news, Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 5 will not feature any towers or mini-map and has explained why. According to lead writer, Drew Holmes, the reason towers and mini-map were removed from the game was to immerse players in the world rather than them staring at the minimap all the time.
Also, Far Cry 5 will not support local co-op and players will only be able to play online co-op. Ubisoft co-op will only be playable through online and players will not be able to play co-op locally.
Furthermore, Ubisoft has expressed that the studio wants the game to feel like “Training Day” and the game’s protagonist will not be an average Joe but will be a junior deputy who will be going in as support a warrant against the Father.
Also, the game will feature full character customization in which the players can create their character the way they like. Players will be able to choose gender and adjust the appearance before starting the game.
Far Cry 5 is an open-world action adventure game in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on February 27, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
