The Headless Horseman has returned once again with “tempting treats” to celebrate the spooky seasonal event with the Hearthstone community.
Posting on the official website earlier today, Blizzard announced that “Hallow’s End” will officially begin from October 24 and run through November 6. During this period, players have to just log into their accounts once a week for free card packs and Arena tickets.
- Log in between Oct. 24 at 09:00 and 22:00 on Oct. 30 to receive one Whispers of the Old Gods card pack and an Arena ticket.
- Log in between Oct. 31 at 24:00 and 22:00 on Nov. 5 to receive one Knights of the Frozen Throne card pack and an Arena ticket.
In addition, Hallow’s End will feature an all-new dual class Arena mode where each of the nine playable classes in Hearthstone will be attending in costume. Players will begin be choosing a Hero and then a Hero Power. The resulting cards offered will be from both of those classes. This is in addition to neutral cards.
Finally, players can expect a new Tavern Brawl where they must stop the Headless Horseman from marauding through the countryside. Players will get to choose a costume for the event, each of which will have its own deck made from several classes and a passive Hero Power.
Elsewhere, the latest update for Hearthstone arrive last night and changed a few mechanics. Spells that can be cancelled by Counterspell will now trigger any “Whenever you cast a spell” and “After you cast a spell” effects. Lord Jaraxxus no longer triggers Repentance, Sacred Trial, and Snipe. You can go through all of the changes here.
