The new Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti GPUs will be announced for release this month and rumors were spreading around about its performance and appearance for each custom version. Today the first pictures of the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Ti have been leaked by videocardz.com and they remind us of something.
Its design doesn’t follow the new designs Nvidia GPUs have but instead, goes for a classic G1 Gaming series (pre-AORUS era) design. As rumored it won’t be factory-overclocked even though we still don’t know its clock speeds.
The 1070 Ti Gaming is equipped with a single 8-pin power connector, five display outputs (DVI + 3xDP + HDMI), triple-fan and dual-slot WindForce 3X cooler and a backplate. The ‘Fan Stop’ logo on the side indicates that the card will not use the fans unless certain temperature is reached.
As seen the GPU houses the Windforce 3x cooling system and its copper heat pipes and blade fan design ensures its low temperatures without fan noise getting too loud.
In other news, the 1070 Ti has been compared with the GTX 1080 in terms of performance and it has been found that the 1070 is a 2% slower GPU for a price cut of $100. The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti also shows superior performance in the Ashes of the Singularity batch tests. In the normal batch, the 1080 scores 64.3 FPS while the 1070 Ti manages to achieve 65.5 FPS. In the medium batch the 1080 scores 63.7 FPS while the 1070 Ti scores 65.8. Lastly, we have the heavy batch where the GTX 1080 scores 54.7 FPS while the Nvidia GTX 1070 scores 52.4 FPS.
While sources have confirmed that the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti will launch in October we did not have a concrete date. Now sources have updated us that the GPU will be announced on the 26th of October. Furthermore, it has been revealed that that the launch will only be a paper launch and that the GPUs will be available a week later on the 2nd of November.
