Destiny 2 PC launch is just around the corner and Bungie has revealed when the PC gamers will be able to pre-load the game. According to Bungie, Destiny 2 pre-load will start tomorrow October 18, 2017, and if the system requirements for the game are any indication then you will need 68 GB of free HDD space to install Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 pre-load will be very helpful for the PC users as they will be able to download the game before it launches and will not have to wait much longer if by any chance a day one patch drops for the game. However, no specific pre-load time has been revealed by Bungie.
Speaking of the launch of Destiny 2 on PC, Bungie has just rolled out a new launch trailer for the game touting the game’s 4K resolution and uncapped framerate on PC which are pretty much the selling point of the game on the platform.
In related news, Destiny 2 is one of the hottest releases of this year and despite the hype behind the game, its retail sales fell well short of expectations. Retail sales for the game fell 50% in the US and in the UK the figure is 58%. According to Activision:
The original Destiny became the biggest new console video game franchise launch in history, and Destiny 2 surpassed the original’s records for engagement and digital sales in launch week. The Destiny universe will welcome a new community of players for the first time on PC on October 24th.
However, the reason by its sales fell short maybe due to the fact that original game came out on legacy consoles along with current gen consoles but, Destiny 2 has only launched for current gen consoles and the PC release is just around the corner.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter developed by Bungie for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PC version will be available on October 24 and is being worked on by Vicarious Visions.
