The group stage of the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2017) concluded over the weekend, advancing eight teams into the quarterfinals bracket.
The list features three teams from South Korea; two teams from China and Europe; and a lonesome representation from North America.
SK Telecom T1 is unsurprisingly leading the pack with hopes to achieve its fourth championship victory. It is joined by South Korean comrades Longzhu Gaming and Samsung Galaxy, where the former has shown an impressive display of skill throughout the prestigious tournament.
The other teams that have made the cut include Royal Never Give Up and Team WE from China, with Misfits and Fnatic falling in from Europe. Unfortunately for the North American fans, their hopes for honor and glory in Worlds 2017 lie solely on the backs of Cloud9.
