Call of Duty WW2 weapons will allow players to customize them with engravings, tattoo designs, propaganda poster art. They are pretty cool and a very fresh change compared to the cartoonish, childish customization options of recent Call of Duty games.
The following gallery gives us a look at the new Call of Duty WW2 weapons customization art. The pictures are unofficial and were posted over at Imgur. Do beware of spoilers!
Call of Duty WW2 weapons are in line with the times and colorful cartoonish skins wouldn’t have suited the premise. The game this year is taking a very serious and dark tone so every aspect needs to compliment it. According to the developers, Call of Duty will tell a mature story which is aiming to be as historically accurate as possible.
During the Holocaust, Nazi forces took part in a genocide of over 6 million Europen Jews. It is a dark topic which demands respect and cautiousness. Sledgehammer will not shy away from the topic and plans to take it head-on. In an interview, creative director Bret Robbins stated that “some very, very dark things happened during this conflict and it felt wrong for us to ignore that.”
The authenticities will drip into the multiplayer as much as possible but that aspect will have its traditional COD charm. Fun is prioritized over realism.
Call of Duty WW2 is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 3. Pre-orders for the game are now live on PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Steam. Pre-ordering the game will get you new weapons of choice.
