The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti is going to be announced at the end of this month and should hit the shelves at the start of November. Having that said it is unlikely that you will be able to get your hands on one of these GPUs at launch and even if you do, it is more than likely that you will have to pay more than the MSRP.
There is always a lot of hype surrounding the Ti variants and people are going to be lining up in order to get one. The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti is going to be snagged up by enthusiasts. The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti has the performance of the GTX 1080 and will cost $100 less, that makes it great value for the mining community as well. It is also possible that AIB cards will not be locked.
The GPUs are going to be picked up by enthusiasts and miners and some numbers will already be going out to tech reviewers and YouTubers. Remember the launches of all other GTX 10 series cards? They were out of stock the moment they hit the shelves and people waited weeks if not months for the new shipments to come in and even the new shipments went out the door in no time at all.
This is exactly what is going to happen with the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti at launch and there are going to be people that will buy the GPU just so they can sell it at a higher price knowing that the demand is high and the supply is low. People do buy the higher priced GPUs as well so you have an idea of how far people are willing to get these GPUs at launch.
If these GPUs are indeed coming out in November, then chances are that you will not be able to get your hands on a Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti before 2018. Be sure to check out our $1500 build featuring the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti as well as Intel Coffee Lake.
