Confused Over WWE 2K18 Early Access on PC? Here’s What You Need to Know

Update: 2K Games deliberately caused confusion, here are the details.

Orignal Story: WWE 2K18 is releasing today as an early access product on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition will have access 4 days early, starting today, October 14. However, there is some confusion over the internet regarding early access on PC.

Those who preordered on PC are taking to social media as well as Steam to ask the community what’s up with WWE 2K18 early access. Are you getting early access with Digital Deluxe Edition? Well, no! It seems many missed a post by 2K Games where they announced the PC version of the game.

2K Games made it clear that Digital Deluxe Edition on PC won’t give early access to players. Which means WWE 2K18’s PC version will be unlocked on October 17 – both the base and deluxe edition.

While the four-day Early Access Deluxe Edition perk for PlayStation 4/Xbox One will not be an option on PC, those who pre-order either edition will receive two versions of Kurt Angle on day one. Downloadable content will be available à la carte for those who purchase the Standard Edition.

WWE 2K18 Deluxe Edition

  • Copy of WWE 2K18;
  • PRE-ORDER to play as Kurt Angle’s WWE “American Hero” persona, as well as his ECW “Wrestling Machine persona;
  • WWE 2K18 Season Pass digital content (details announced soon);
  • Playable WWE Legends and John Cena Rivals: Batista and Rob Van Dam;
  • Playable John Cena Characters: ECW One Night Stand (2006) and WrestleMania 26 (2010);

The article should lift any confusion over the matter and unfortunately, players will have to wait until October 17 to access the game.

Apart from PC and consoles, the game will also release on Nintendo Switch.

Do you think the lack of early access is unfair to PC users? Let us know in the comments below.
