Intel Coffee Lake Powered Custom Gaming PC For The Price Of The iPhone X

I posted an article a couple weeks ago, about building a custom gaming pc for the price of an iPhone X. But unfortunately, specs options for Intel Coffee Lake processors and Z370 chipset motherboards were not available. Now they are and I’ve tailor-made a gaming rig just for you guys, with the latest in desktop hardware.

Q4 2017 has the most amount of games coming up, that you will probably drool over and dream of playing them in full HD graphics. You wished that perhaps you had not purchased that iPhone X and drilled a wide hole in your pockets.

I’ve crafted a custom gaming pc that costs you a $1012.32 US and gives you the best value for money. In terms of 1080p gaming on 50-100 frames per second. Depending on the type and optimization of the game you are playing, including the graphical settings.

You can amp up your budget if you desire for even more performance gains. Since in benchmarks this has been proved that Coffee Lake Intel processors love faster RAM unlike previous generation CPUs. So ramping up from a 2400 Mhz stick to a 3200 MHz stick. The cost will remain the same depending upon the memory timings. Sticks with tighter memory sequence timings are more expensive.

The Intel Coffee Lake 8400 is great value for money considering the CPU has 6 cores and 6 threads. Furthermore, it the cheapest Intel Coffee Lake CPU core per core after the Intel Coffee Lake 8100.

A custom gaming rig powered by a GTX 1060 6 GB will easily enable you to have a smooth gaming experience, setting ranges from high to very high, on 1080p resolution and V-sync on. You will be able to get 50-60 frames easily in modern day games like Deus Ex Mankind Divided, The Witcher 3, Dishonored 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, Assassins creed Syndicate, Watch Dogs 2.

FPS on these games can become a consistent 60 if you lower the settings to ‘high’ in these games. Based on my personal experience a custom gaming rig with such hardware will give you more value and entertainment, than an iPhone X. But to each his own.

Let us know what you think about this Intel Coffee Lake custom PC build. Would you rather have this PC or the iPhone X?
