The Witcher 3 is one of the best games of this generation and PC mods for the game give us another reason to play the game, however, it’s not like developer CD Projekt Red didn’t have fun with Geralt while developing the game as the devs jokingly made skidding mechanic during the development.
The developers not only included the skidding mechanic but also turned Geralt into a snowboarder by giving him a hat and a pair of goggles on him and gave a board under his feet so that he can slide down the snowy mountain. CD Projekt Red revealed this to Danny O’Dwyer in the latest Noclip episode which you can see in the video below.
There was one point when we were like let’s implement this whole skidding thing that Geralt does when he’s on the slope. And people had just too much fun [so] they decided to try this on this mountain and fix Geralt’s texture so he looks like a snowboarder and they just let him go and made him skid [down].
CD Projekt Red is currently working on Cyberpunk 2077 and Geralt’s voice actor, Doug Cockle, might be featured in the game. During a panel at EGX 2017, he talked about his involvement with CD Projekt Red’s upcoming projects which also includes the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077.
What I have discussed is the idea of me being involved somehow. Whether that’s a major part or just an easter egg. I hope so, I really enjoy working with them. But I haven’t had significant contact. We have jokingly talked about it.
Not much is known about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 but, a rumor has been making rounds on the internet that the game will be 4 times bigger than The Witcher 3 and its DLCs combined.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a Sci-fi action RPG in development at CD Projekt Red for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
