Nintendo reveals new achievement system and more for ARMS
The Nintendo World Championship gave everyone a brief glimpse over the weekend into some of the new content coming to ARMS in the near future.
A short trailer released by the developer revealed the Badge Stash for starters, an achievement system for the motion-powered fighting game that will award players with badges for completing specific tasks. These can then be attached on the main online profile pages for the sole purpose to show off.
Nintendo also teased a robotic version of Spring Man. His appearance was for only a few seconds, making it difficult to tell if this is a brand new character for the roster or just an alternative skin for the existing one.
Update 3.2 is slated to arrive for ARMS sometime in the next few months and will introduce more than what Nintendo has teased so far. This includes a brand new stage, adjustments across the roster, slight tweaks to gameplay, other improvements, and perhaps a new character.
In August, Nintendo reiterated that it takes feedback from fans very seriously. A number of past changes have arrived based on reports from the community. Hence, it is likely that a similar focus will be taken for the upcoming one. We might hear more from the developer this week.
ARMS released in June for the Switch and received stellar reviews from every major publication. It is just another addition to the library that is a must-play for owners of the recently released hybrid console.
