Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC is in the works as we speak, it seems. According to Bayek’s actor Abubakar Salim, he is back in the studio playing Bayek. However, motion capture and voice acting should be completed at this point which indicates that him coming back to play Bayek is for Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is releasing later this month and it is a given that it would release DLC content soon after it comes out. Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC is expected to revolve around Bayek and his adventures as an Assassin’s. He will lay the foundation of the Brotherhood but the story may further expand on it in the DLC.
However, Salim being back in the studio doesn’t necessarily mean that the DLC will focus on Bayek. It is possible that the developers wanted to reshoot a certain section of the game before finalizing.
We will know more once the game is out and DLC plans are shared. Assassin’s Creed Origins is an upcoming action RPG in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You can grab the base version as well the special editions that will feature upcoming DLC as well. All version are now available to pre-order from PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, Steam, and Uplay. You can also purchase from third-party retailers such as Amazon, GAME, EB Games, and more.
On a related subject, it seems Assassin’s Creed Origins might be another victim of microtransactions. During a recent gameplay preview, such elements of the game hinted at paid content. Nothing has been confirmed so far but seeing how things are with AAA games these days, it won’t be surprising to see paid in-game content in Origins.
