Marvel vs Capcom Infinite barely makes into the top-20 downloads of PS4

Despite favorable reviews and a focus on accessibility, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite has found it a bit hard to gain traction after its launch last month.

Posting on the PlayStation Blog earlier today, Sony revealed that the fighting game only ranked nineteenth in terms of the number of downloads from the PlayStation Store for the month of September in the United States.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite found itself just ahead of Batman: Arkham Knight and outdone by several games that have been released for a good while now. This includes Rainbow Six Siege, Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto V, Bloodborne, Rocket League, among many others.

As brooding as the situation appears, there are still sales from the physical format and other two platforms to account for. However, the United States is not the only region where the game has seen a lukewarm reception. Marvel vs Capcom Infinite made its debut in the United Kingdom at a disastrously low twelfth spot in the all formats chart.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite was released on September 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Perhaps upcoming new content and the whole month of October will help the game find its way into the top rankings.
