Microsoft is trying a rather satisfying way to promote the Xbox Live Gold subscription and is giving all Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners the opportunity to play online without owning a subscriber status with the Free Play Days For All event this weekend.
Free Play Days For All is starting Friday, October 6 at 1:00 a.m. PDT and will run until Monday, October 9 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. As it seems Free Play Days For All is the best way for players to try out the multiplayer beta of Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The beta ends on Monday so you have more than enough time to both download and get your hands on the game for a couple of days.
As Microsoft states in the Xbox Blog, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 “is going to be spectacular and one of the largest titles ever distributed by EA” and encourages you to pre-order the game and play it this weekend. During the multiplayer beta, players can try the Arcade Challenges with AI opponents, try the Galactic Assault mode in various maps and team up with friends in Starfighter Assault.
If that wasn’t enough the blog reveals the pre-order goodies one more time, which includes a specially curated Founder’s Crate filled with goodies as a thank you from the developers, including credits, an exclusive emote for Darth Maul, and a rare trooper Star Card to give them a head start in battle.
If you are not interested in buying Star Wars: Battlefront 2 though, you can use your free online time on any multiplayer game you own on your Xbox One or Xbox 360 until Monday.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at EA DICE and is scheduled to launch on November 17, 2017, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
