IO Interactive has been actively supporting Hitman with new content despite Square Enix backing off from the studio and the franchise and now the studio has teased new content for October 24 and specifically stated that it is not going to be Hitman Season 2.
In a post on its official website, IO Interactive has asked fans to mark their calendars for October 24, as the studio will reveal new content for Hitman. According to the studio, they are not even going to give a hint as the announcement will speak for itself. Also, IO Interactive has also released a new image teasing the content.
Mark this date on your calendars: October 24th. That’s the date when we will reveal brand new content for the game. We’re going to let the announcement itself do all the talking, but there is one thing we want to clarify before then; this upcoming content is not Season 2. We’re saying that now to keep expectations in check.
However, before October 24 IO Interactive will be rolling out new content for the game like on October 13, 10 new featured contracts will be added to the game along with “Master Scarecrow Challenge Pack”. Master Scarecrow Challenge Pack will add 5 new challenges and more details will be revealed about this Pack next week.
As for Hitman Season 2, while IO Interactive might not be saying much about it but, the studio has confirmed its existence .
According to the devs, season 2 for the game will feature new locations and more. According to Hakan Abrak, Studio production director at IO Interactive, Hitman Season 2 will be arriving with new locations and cities along with more free content like Elusive Targets and Escalation Missions.
