Discord Video Chat And Screen Share Features Will Make It A Competitor For Skype

Discord is a great app for communicating with your party in games. If you have not check it out then you should give it a go. I use discord when playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The new Discord video chat and screen share features will allow it to compete with Skype.

Discord is a well-known app and the only thing that it was missing was video chat and screen sharing. Now Discord has all the features that you get on Skype. Multiple people have moved to discord in the past and I think that with the Discord video chat feature out, even more people will jump ship in favor of discord.

It is important to note that Discord does monitor whatever you are talking about and will share this information with companies so be careful what you talk about and you should not discuss private details here are the details:

When you interact with us through the Services, we may collect information from you, as further described below: Information You Provide: We collect information from you when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you register for access to the Services or use certain Services. Information we collect may include but not be limited to username, email address, and any messages, images, transient VOIP data (to enable communication delivery only) or other content you send via the chat feature.

Discord has come a long way and the app is user-friendly and easy to use. Not to mention that it is free and it only takes a few minutes to get started. The same is the case for the desktop version. Everything is where you expect it to be. I have been using the app for some time now and have not come across any issues.

Let us know what you think about the Discord video chat and screen share features and whether or not it will be a greater threat to Skype now.
