If you are trying to play Fortnite but aren’t able to do so, we know why. According to Epic Games, Fortnite Servers are down right now due to maintenance. Players aren’t able to access the game at all for now and it will take some time before servers are back up.
Millions of players access the servers so regular maintenance is required in order to make sure sudden issues don’t come in the way. Developers are also pushing an update out during this time that will add a Horde Mode. The Horde Mode is pretty self-explanatory.
The downtime affects both the Battle Royale and Save the World.
We will be taking downtime @ 4:00am ET, Oct 5th to push the Horde Bash update live!
Downtime will be ~ 1 hour and will affect both Save the World and Battle Royale players.
If anything changes, we will update this thread.
Get ready to Challenge the Horde!
Fortnite Battle Royale has crossed 7 million players now and it becoming a threat to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. While PlayerUnknown wants to take Epic Games to court for copying his game, Epic Games is busy adding PUBGs style duo and airdrops to the Fortnite. Duos will allow players to partner with another player for the match and the supply drops will fall from the sky in random locations.
Reaching 7 million players in two weeks is all thanks to the Battle Royale mode. It is in a much better shape compared to PUBGs in terms of online infrastructure, which BlueHole is trying to improve.
