Matt Dahlgren, former senior product manager at Capcom, has decided to part ways with the company after nearly ten years of dedicated service.
He was most recently behind the marketing campaigns of Street Fighter V and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. His extensive portfolio also includes Street Fighter x Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Resident Evil 5.
Dahlgren did not restrict himself to just creating promotional material for games. He worked a lot for the fighting game community as well, and was a key figure in the production of the Capcom Pro Tour. He was also one of the few regular sources of information during the development phase of Street Fighter V.
“I have grown here tremendously, both personally and professionally, and have been given the opportunity to work with so many truly amazing people,” Dahlgren told EventHubs in a statement. “I’m very proud of the projects I have been able to influence, most particularly our fighting games and launching the Capcom Pro Tour.”
Dahlgren has not revealed where he is heading to next but we wish him the best of luck in the new chapter of his career.
Elsewhere, Capcom is speculated to announce the final character for the ongoing second season of Street Fighter V at New York Comic-Con 2017 this weekend. There might even be more announces in store if we keep our fingers crossed.
