The state of PC version of NieR Automata is no secret and gamers have to rely on community mods and fixes to fix the issues and now a new NieR Automata HD Texture Mod is in the works, which as the name suggests, makes the game’s textures look good.
NieR Automata launched earlier this year and Platinum Games has not released any patch for the issues on PC and gamers have to rely on community mods and fixes. NieR Automata HD Texture Mod requires Fix Automata Resolution mod. GPUnity is the one working on the upcoming mod and while it is still in alpha, the modder has rolled a version of it to the public.
GPUnity has also rolled out screenshots, which you can see below, to showcase the differences between default and mod textures. These screenshots will also give you an idea of what you will get before downloading the mod. Currently, there is no release date for the mod.
While PC players have to rely on the community fixes to fix NieR Automata issues, Square Enix has finally broken the silence and has revealed that Platinum Games can fix these issues alone.
Square Enix and PlatinumGames are working with PC device manufacturers, like AMD, to address the issues with the Steam version of the game because some of the issues are not what Square Enix and PlatinumGames alone can resolve fundamentally. With AMD’s help, Square Enix and PlatinumGames have successfully resolved some of the issues, and we hope to achieve similar results with other hardware makers. We appreciate your continued patience and support for NieR: Automata
NieR Automata is an action RPG developed by Platinum Games for PC and PlayStation 4.
