The ongoing second season of Street Fighter V is left with only one more character that needs to be revealed by the developer. Based on new information received, an announcement is possibly on the verge of taking place very soon.
Earlier today, Capcom confirmed that it will be attending New York Comic-Con 2017 later this week. The official website notes that announcements will be made for both Street Fighter V and Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite regarding upcoming content. A livestream is scheduled to happen on October 6 at 1:45 PM ET from Booth 174 on the show-floor. The two games will take fifteen minutes each of airtime, with Street Fighter V going first.
Capcom has always taken conventions in the past as opportunities to make announcements for its products. Considering the rate at which the last characters were revealed for the game in recent months, there is a great likelihood that the second season of content will finally be wrapping up.
As far as the fighting game community is concerned, the last character for Street Fighter V is possibly Zeku. The master and trainer of Guy was previously speculated to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show (TGS 2017) last month.
Capcom may also have more to announce than just the final character. A couple of weeks back, an online retailer listed “Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition” for a launch in January. However, the more popular belief is that Capcom is more likely to reveal the new edition at PlayStation Experience (PSX) in early December.
New York Comic-Con 2017 will take place from October 5-8 at the Javits Center in Manhattan, New York.
