PUBGs Xbox Exclusivity Might Extend As Microsoft Is In Talks With Bluehole

PUBGs is currently the hot thing in the game industry despite its recent server issues, however, the game is set to arrive on PC and Xbox One later this year but, it seems that Microsoft wants to extend PUBGs Xbox exclusivity and is in talks with the developer.

The news comes from Bloomberg that Microsoft is in talks with Blurhole Studio to extend PUBGs Xbox exclusivity. The news comes shortly after the studio announced that it is in talks with Sony to bring the game to PlayStation 4. However, a spokesperson for Microsoft told Bloomberg that Microsoft has nothing to announce right now.

Right now, the team is solely focused on bringing the best game possible to Xbox One and PC. We have nothing further to announce at this time.

PUBGs has been extremely successful despite the fact that it is an early access title for PC. Also, with the popularity of the game, Bluehole Studio has also grown as its total worth is now $4.6 Billion which is up five-fold in just three months.

In related news, Bluehole has formed PUBGs Corp. that will oversee the game’s development moving forward along with its expansion.

This new structure allows us to be nimble as we look towards the expansion of strategic business opportunities that include the game’s potential in the esports sector and the growth of PUBG as a true global IP franchise.

Also, the studio has confirmed that the development team is planning a PUBGs Ranked Game Mode along with other progression systems for maximum player engagement like leveling system for the players and weapons skill system and also added that these progression systems will not affect the gameplay.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a multiplayer survival game currently in early access for PC and will launch for consoles later.
