Bethesda sure knows how to celebrate an occasion, especially when that occasion is the anniversary of the release of Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). So the famous company managed to create a rather beautiful retro box art for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on SNES. The given Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Box Art is a sight for sore eyes and it sure caught the attention of many eyes.
Posted on Twitter by Bethesda, the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Box Art features a main character staring at an elder dragon on a scene that kinda reminds us of a fantasy book cover or a Mgic The Gathering Card art. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim font is also recreated to be more retro and Bethesda even used its original Bethesda Softworks logo to match the theme.

This move caused a lot of rumors on Twitter though, with fans agonizing and asking if this Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Box Art is a teaser for the title coming to the SNES. Bethesda quickly came to respond stating that this box art was created just to celebrate the SNES launch anniversary and nothing more.
Even though Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is not going to get announced to any more consoles (especially the SNES) its Nintendo Switch edition is going to get released pretty soon, making it to physical and digital stores on November 17th and will include special Zelda-themed armor and weapons that are unlockable through scanning compatible Amiibo figures.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Nintendo Switch is confirmed to be enhanced with its Special Edition with new graphics and more texture as it was seen on its remaster on all the other platforms.
Bethesda is also bringing DOOM on the Nintendo Switch on this year’s holidays, even though it will be a much different port than the one on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and Wolfenstein 2 later next year after it’s release.
