The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti is the upcoming GPU from Nvidia that will be filling the gap between the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070. This is one segment of the market that AMD exploited with the AMD RX Vega 56. Nvidia is looking to get back to AMD by destroying the competition with the upcoming Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti.
The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti will have higher clock speeds than the GTX 1070 and will have CUDA cores similar to the GTX 1080. You can check out the details here. Furthermore, the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti should be priced at the $400 mark and if that is the case then you are getting plenty of performance for the money.
While sources have confirmed that the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti will launch in October we did not have a concrete date. Now sources have updated us that the GPU will be announced on the 26th of October. The GTX 1070 TI could be popular with the mining community seeing how the GPU costs lower than the GTX 1080 but is expected to perform similarly. But then again miners will buy anything that they can get their hands on. This might not be good news for gamers.
An important thing to keep in mind is that this upcoming GPU features GDDR5 memory instead of GDDR5X found in the GTX 1080, this is one of the reasons why the GPU is going to be cheaper.
