Intel Gemini Lake CPUs Coming This November Followed By Mainstream Coffee Lake Motherboards In Q1 2018

Intel Gemini Lake CPUs will be coming in November, these will be quad-core and dual-core CPUs. We are also getting the Intel Coffee Lake Launch next month on the 5th. While we already know about the upcoming Z370 motherboards it is unfortunate that I have to tell you that the mainstream motherboards will be coming out in Q1 2018.

Leaked Intel documents reveal that the upcoming H370, H310 and B360 motherboards will be arriving in the window between January and March. The unfortunate thing is that if you are going to go with a locked CPU then you will either have to wait or go with the more expensive Z370 motherboards that will not be used fully due to the locked CPU.

Both the unlocked CPUs and the overclocking compatible Z370 motherboards cost extra. One of the perks of Coffee Lake is that people will be able to pair a 6 core CPU with a mainstream $80 motherboard for the first time, at least on the Intel side of things. If that is what had you excited in the first place then that will have to wait till 2018. Won’t be possible this year.

We also know that there will be business oriented motherboards coming out for Intel Coffee Lake namely Q370 and Q360 these chipsets will be coming out in the second quarter of 2018. If you are interested in buying Intel Coffee Lake and are wondering whether you should buy Coffee Lake next month or wait for AMD Pinnacle Ridge, then you can click here to learn more.
