Xbox One Players Can Now Use Raiden In Injustice 2 Before October Release

If you’re on the Xbox One, through some sort of glitch you can now use Raiden in Injustice 2 ahead of the October release date that he should have been released at. Raiden is likely available for Xbox One players after a glitch in the previous patch, which also deleted gear.

The Injustice 2 forums were responsible for breaking the news that you could now download Raiden in Injustice 2, and since the announcement players on the NetherRealm Studios forums have made a thread dedicated to exploring how Raiden is as a character in the game.

There’s always the possibility that, as stated above, Raiden accidentally became available after a glitch in the most recent patch. However, there’s also the possibility that Raiden was made downloadable deliberately, but either way we won’t know unless Microsoft and NetherRealm end up actually revealing why.

Raiden is going to be the most recent DLC character for the game, and will be the second Mortal Kombat character that has been made a part of it. Several months ago Sub Zero was added to the game as DLC, just as Scorpion was DLC in the original Injustice game.

The patch, patch 1.09, was originally intended to not only fix a number of bugs but also a few quality-of-life improvements. For instance, more characters now have Legendary Multiverse portals (such as Supergirl, Scarecrow, Flash, Deadshot, Catwoman, and more), Legendary items have had their stats increased, and Legendary Multiverse events have had a decrease in the time you’re supposed to play them before getting a reward.

While we don’t know if you can still download Raiden in Injustice 2, it can’t hurt to try. And if you can’t download him, you’ll just have to wait until next month when the new character is actually released. Maybe if you’re not in the mood for MKX, you can pit Raiden against SubZero in Injustice 2 instead.
