October Playstation Plus Free Games Announced, Metal Gear Solid 5 Is Among Them

October is going to be a huge month for Playstation Plus subscribers since it mixes a little bit of everything. Highlights of this month’s free games are Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Amnesia: Collection for the Playstation 4. Given only those two titles we can assure that Sony’s Playstation Plus free games this month are worth the while.

Let’s see the full lineup of games for Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita for Playstation Plus free games for October:

  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
  • Amnesia: Collection (PS4)
  • RIGS: Mechanised Combat League (PS Plus Bonus – PSVR Required)
  • That’s You (PS Plus Bonus – PlayLink)
  • Monster Jam Battlegrounds (PS3)
  • Hustle Kings (PS3)
  • Hue (PS Vita & PS4)
  • Sky Force Anniversary (PS Vita & PS4)

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain clearly needs no introduction. Hideo Kojima’s last entry to the Metal Gear franchise before he left Konami may not have been the fans’ favorite but it still is one that can keep you hooked for hours. Even though many called it an unfinished game given the expectations created by its previous titles, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can guarantee you some quality time in one of videogame industry’s most loved franchises.

If you are more of a horror genre lover then you’ll be glad to find the Amnesia: Collection in the Playstation store for free in October. Call it the weather changing, call it Halloween coming, but Amnesia is just what we needed for October to “kill” our nights with.

If you have a Playstation VR don’t forget to try out RIGS: Mechanised Combat League in which you take control of big mechs and compete in futuristic sport arenas in 3 modes.

Hue is also one game that you should not miss. This indie title created by Fiddlesticks is a classic platformer but with a strange mechanic. You can change the color of the area (hence the name Hue) and reveal or hide specific objects to get to your finish point. For sure one beautiful game.

If you missed them, make sure to check September’s Playstation Plus free games.
