Twenty Minute Wolfenstein 2 Gameplay Video Shows Running, Gunning, Nazi-Killing

A new twenty minute Wolfenstein 2 gameplay video has been released by Bethesda and Machine Games, showing off Wolfenstein protagonist B. J. Blazkowicz running around a devastated New Orleans and doing what he does best: killing Nazis. You can find the video below in the article, but here’s the rundown.

Blazko has come to New Orleans in order to secure the services of one of the many different groups of American freedom fighters that are still battling the Nazi regime after World War 2 ended. They’re located in New Orleans, which due to the ongoing fighting is in flames, with Nazis all over the place. Not that that’s an obstacle for him.

Gameplay seems fairly similar to Wolfenstein: The New Order. Blazko is capable of picking up two weapons at once to blast enemies with, while running around and gunning down anything in his way. The enemies seem roughly the same as well, even including the most irritating part of The New Order, the Nazi officers who radio for help at the first sign of trouble.

However, the Wolfenstein 2 gameplay video does show us a few new weapons that we’ll be using. These include things like laser guns, grenade launcher pistols, and more. The video also ends with the introduction of a new enemy, the same hulking jet-powered Nazi trooper that appeared in both the gameplay teaser and the gameplay trailer itself.

While BJ is able to quickly dispatch that, that doesn’t mean that we won’t have a good bit of trouble with that sort of enemy in the future, especially considering that enemies like that often come back in bigger numbers.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will be available on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 27 of this year. Once again, if you want to look at the Wolfeinstein 2 gameplay video, you can find it further up the article.
