PSN is apparently down in some parts of United Kingdom as many users have been reporting that they are unable to log-in into their PSN account, however, according to Sony, there is no issue from their side and everything is working fine.
Also, the users who have reported the issue have one thing in common which is that they are customers of Virgin Media which has and Sony has acknowledged that indeed the PSN is down in some parts of the UK and for those who are using the Virgin Media and has asked the users to be patient as they investigate.
We’re aware that some Virgin Media users are having issues accessing PlayStation Network and we are investigating, thanks for your patience.
We are hopeful that this is just a temporary issue and Sony Interactive Entertainment will soon resolve it.
In related news, Sony has been leading the VR market with a considerable margin with its PSVR, however, the company is not comfortable being the VR market leader. CEO Andrew House noted that the reason behind he is uncomfortable is that all VR platforms need to do well to attract an audience which is a task Sony can’t do alone with PSVR.
I‘m not entirely comfortable being the market leader in VR by such a margin that seems to be happening right now.
With such a brand new category you want a variety of platforms all doing well to create that rising tide and create the audience.
