Game Of Thrones season 8 will be the finale of the entire Game Of Thrones TV series and directors for Season 8’s finale has been revealed. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will be directing the Game Of Thrones Season 8 finale and this will be the only episode of the upcoming season that will be directed by them.
While these two will be directing the finale of Game of Thrones season 8, the rest of the five episodes will be directed by Miguel Sapochnik and David Nutter, who are known for directing episodes in previous seasons of Game Of Thrones.
David Nutter has directed six Game of Thrones episodes which also includes the Emmy award-winning episode “The Dance of Dragons”. Sapochnik, on the other hand, has directed two of the biggest episodes of Game Of Thrones.
While the Season 8 will be the end of the Game Of Thrones but, the series will live on with spin-offs series that will focus on different time periods. According to Game of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman, the fifth spin-off is a prequel and that it is set during “a very exciting period of Westerosi history.”
Currently, five Game Of Thrones spin-offs have been confirmed and each will focus on different time periods and producers have also hinted that no character from current Game Of Thrones series will be featured in the spin-offs.
Game Of Thrones is a popular series based on fantasy book series titled “A Song Of Ice And Fire” written by George R. R. Martin.
The series follows powerful families trying to take control of the fictional land of Seven Kingdoms and claim the Iron Throne for themselves.
