Experience the Terror of Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies With These New Images

Call of Duty: WW2 zombies are coming soon and it’s promised to be the most terrifying one in the franchise. Sledgehammer Games co-founder, Glen Schofield, shared through his Twitter account some still photos of some of the mode’s zombies to prove their point. As it seems zombies are taken to a whole new level this year, looking a lot more gruesome and ready to eat you alive.

The developer team wanted to make Zombies mode a bit more frightening this year and what better way to do that than show some “fresh” faces. Some of the zombies teased have already been shown previously but there’s no lie that their art looks amazing. Given the fact that Nazi Zombies has grown to be a classic favorite for the fans, the company had to spice things up a bit by bringing a darker shade in the mode.

The story of Call of Duty: WW2 zombies is simple: Players will be entering a Bavarian village in Germany, where the Nazis have been experimenting to create a zombie army to help them win the war in Europe. However, the zombies have broken containment and overrun the facility, and so the players have to try and survive against the endless horde.

As Sledgehammer Games have announced, there are also many new features installed in the mode this year, trying to make it look exactly like a horror game experience.

As Cameron Dayton, creative director of the game said to Gamesradar:

I think this is, without a doubt, the scariest version of Zombies that you will have ever seen. It’s the perfect storm of technology, and studio talent, and an audience that I just think is ready for something that is going to scare the hell out of them. And I think it is something that I’m going to recommend, for first-time players, do not turn the lights off.

Let’s not forget that Call of Duty: WW2 zombies will also feature an all-star cast of actors, with Vikings‘ Katheryn Winnick as Marie Fischer, Daredevil‘s Elodie Yung playing Olivia Durant, Doctor Who‘s David Tennant taking on the role of Drostan Hynd, and Pulp Fiction‘s Ving Rhames starring as Jefferson Potts.

Call of Duty: WW2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Sledgehammer Games and is scheduled to launch on November 3, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The Valor Edition of Call of Duty: WW2 will also feature a lot of Nazi Zombie goodies so if you’re willing to spend 230$ on a collector’s edition, it’s sure worth the while.
