Square Enix has been continuously supporting Final Fantasy XV with new content, expansions and events and it seems that the studio has no plans to stop rolling out updates as the game director has revealed that Final Fantasy XV will be getting more content on 2018.
According to the season pass plans, Square Enix will deliver new content to Final Fantasy XV throughout this year ending with episode Ignis expansion in December. However, game director Hajime Tabata has revealed that plans have been changed and Final Fantasy XV will get more content in 2018.
Tabata didn’t share any specifics about what kind of content we can expect but, he as expressed his desire for developing expansion based on Lunafreya. He added that he has a desire to showcase Lunafreya as a strong character. He noted that currently, the focus is to get ‘Episode Ignis’ out.
Probably the plans to support Final Fantasy XV have been extended partly because the game is also coming to PC in early 2018.
While Square Enix has noted that they are looking into bringing the Final Fantasy 15 to Nintendo Switch and many assumed that the studio might release the Pocket Edition for Switch. However, Square Enix is looking to bring full Final Fantasy XV experience to Switch.
With the game coming to PC, Square Enix will be bringing features to the PC version for which the PC community is known for like mods. Game director has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV’s PC version will get mod support.
He added that while they can’t share anything about it but, more details about Final Fantasy 15 mod support will be revealed later this year.
Final Fantasy XV is an open-world action adventure title developed by Square Enix for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will come to PC in early 2018.
