The first Divinity: Original Sin 2 patch has been released, and it’s a bit of a doozy, doing everything from improving and changing a variety of different things in the game to fixing a host of bugs that launched along with the game. The patch comes after a number of different hotfixes.
The improvements that players will be seeing in the game so far mainly focus on a few additions to parts of the game such as the endgame, or various fixes such as reducing the cooldown for reactive armor, reducing cooldown, and more. The bug fixes, on the other hand, are too many to list, but all should hopefully help players to uncover fewer of them as they go into the world.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 takes place in the Divinity setting, 1200 years after the first Original Sin game. The game follows the story of a quartet of sorcerers who are on the run from the Divine Magisters, who have outlawed the practicing of magic by anyone except those that are part of the Magisters’ group.
Unlike Original Sin, where you could only play a human, Divinity: Original Sin 2 offers a choice of five races, including human, elf, dwarf, lizardman, and even undead. Each of these races have a number of different bonuses, and you can also pick a number of different origins for your character.
All of the different bugs and updates and changes that came with the Divinity: Original Sin 2 patch will hopefully make the game more fun for people that buy it and play it, and help it to be the worthy successor that the game needs.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available exclusively on the PC, and is currently out for everyone to play. and with the Divinity: Original Sin 2 patch released, there likely won’t be a better time for a while now for you to start playing. To see the full patch notes, look here.
