FIFA 18 is coming to Nintendo Switch and would require a decent amount of space on your Nintendo Switch. According to EA, players would need 14.3GB of space on Nintendo Switch. Even though the game is using a different engine and not all features will make it to this version, it still takes significant space.
The Nintendo Switch version is releasing alongside PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, while all versions are going to feature The Journey mode, Nintendo Switch is missing out. The Journey is the story mode for FIFA 18. It is the continuation of the story we left off in FIFA 17.
Alex Hunter is back and is going to switch clubs, well, that’s up to you. Besides the story mode, FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch is going have every feature its PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC counterparts will have including Ultimate Team, kick-off mode, local seasons, career, online seasons, tournament, women’s international cup, and skill games.
As far as graphics go, FIFA 18 is going to run at 1080p docked and 720p on the handheld. FIFA 18 is releasing on September 29 for all platforms.
FIFA 18 is not the only one ditching its main engine for the Switch. Recently, Hajime Tabata mentioned that Final Fantasy XV, if it comes to Switch, will have to use a different engine. Square Enix is actually in talks with Epic Games to hire their Unreal Engine and see how it performs.
