With Project Cars 2 release right around the corner, developer Slightly Mad Studios has hinted that they are working another project that sounds eerily familiar to a Fast & The Furious game. The studio hinted that in an interview with Youtuber SpotTheOzzie.
Slightly Mad Studios CEO, Ian Bell, hinted during the interview that the Project Cars dev is working on a Fast & The Furious game. While Ian Bell wasn’t direct about the title but, one doesn’t need to use much of his/her brain to make the connection.
Guess what the latest Need for Speed game is doing, and have a think about which Hollywood film they’re copying. And then I can tell you we have a six-year deal with that major Hollywood company that’ll beat what Need for Speed is doing. For the next six years.
He further gave the clue that reveals it all saying “If you look at me, I’m a bald guy and I work out a bit. So that’s a clue”.
However, this is not the first time the studio has talked about a possible arcade title from Slightly Mad Studios. Recently, COO at Slightly Mad Studios, Rod Chong, hinted that an arcade racing title could come from Slightly Mad Studios but added that don’t expect it to carry the Project Cars name.
Also, the studio has noted that the Xbox One X version of Project Cars 2 will see notable improvements over the PS4 Pro version.
I can’t tell you exactly what all the various sliders will be at when you’re on Xbox One X versus on PS4 Pro, but obviously they’ll be higher, so there will be a significant, a noticeable improvement, because you have better hardware.
Project Cars 2 is an upcoming racing simulator game developed by Slightly Mad Studios and will launch on September 22, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
