Comrades is a Final Fantasy XV multiplayer expansion which was announced a while back and now Square Enix has confirmed the release date for the expansion. The release date for this Final Fantasy XV multiplayer expansion was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2017.
Final Fantasy XV Comrades multiplayer expansion will be available on October 31, 2017, and owning the main game is required to play the expansion. The expansion will come as part of the season pass and will also be available to be purchased separately.
Despite being a multiplayer expansion, joining other players is not necessary as players can complete the missions alone too. Players will be able to create their own avatars and the expansion will be set after the chapter 13, a time which was skipped in the main game.
While Square Enix has noted that they are looking into bringing the Final Fantasy XV to Nintendo Switch and many assumed that the studio might release the Pocket Edition for Switch. However, Square Enix is looking to bring full Final Fantasy XV experience to Switch.
According to game director Tabata, the test they ran didn’t bear any satisfactory results but, that doesn’t mean that is the end of it and are looking to partner with Epic Games.
With the game coming to PC, Square Enix will be bringing features to the PC version for which the PC community is known for like mods. Game director has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV’s PC version will get mod support.
He added that while they can’t share anything about it but, more details about Final Fantasy XV mod support will be revealed later this year.
Final Fantasy XV is an open-world action adventure title developed by Square Enix for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will come to PC in early 2018.
