Monster Hunter World is Getting Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition

Monster Hunter World is an action RPG coming in January of 2018 on consoles as the fifth addition to the franchise. Capcom revealed today that apart from the basic edition of the game there will be two additional Special editions coming to consoles and PC with extra loot.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will be up for sale for $70 and comes with many extra costumization features for your hunter including a Samurai Set skin, three gestures, two sticker sets, and an additional face paint and hair style option. Capcom says all of the aforementioned items will be available to purchase separately when the game launches. On Playstation 4 players who buy the Digital Deluxe Edition will be able to get 14 weapon-themed PSN avatars.

The second special edition is a Collector’s one as expected. Apart from the physical copy of Monster Hunter World you will get a voucher for the things mentioned on Digital Deluxe edition and also¬†hardcover art book, a monster statue, and a code for a digital soundtrack. As always there will be a collector’s boxing for you to display on your shelf.

Pre-orderers of any edition on any platform will also receive the Origin Armor Set and a Fair Wind Charm. These are not only cosmetic items and they will be giving you extra defence and offence stats at the start of the game. Capcom states that these items will be also available for purchase at a later date. Playstation 4 pre-orders will also give you a Monster Hunter World theme for your Playstation interface.

In other news the DLC for Monster Hunter World will be a free one like it always have been in the franchise.

Monster Hunter World is scheduled to launch in 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There will be no handheld versions of the game so no Nintendo Switch for us on this one.
