Nintendo expects its newly released hybrid console, Nintendo Switch, to be as successful as Wii which sold 100 million units in its lifetime and now a report has emerged which suggests that Nintendo Switch will sell 130 million units by 2022.
The report comes from Swiss financial services company, Credit Suisse, which claims that Nintendo Switch will sell 130 million units by 2022. According to the firm, their estimation is 70 million up from their original one as device sells like a handheld rather than a console.
While this financial firm believes that Nintendo Switch will surpass Wii’s sales by 2022 but, not all industry analysts are convinced that it will. According to Micheal Patcher, Nintendo Switch will sell 50 million units over time but, will not be able to reach the level of success of Wii.
Overtime Switch will be fine it will do 50 million if the price comes down the curb. The question though is will it do a hundred? I don’t think so that’s 20 million a year. 10 Million a year for 5 years for sure,20 Million a year ever probably not.
In related news, data miners have found NES Emulator in the hybrid console along with an NES title in the Switch.According to modders, they have found NES emulator already available in Switch and also found a copy of NES Golf installed on it.
Also, a lot of third-party titles are coming to Nintendo Switch and the list might also include Final Fantasy XV. Game Director, Hajime Tabata hinted that Final Fantasy XV could come to Switch during the Gamescom 2017 live stream.
