Call of Duty, one of the biggest franchises in videogame history till now is taking a whole new dimension this year. Leaving the futuristic elements behind CoD’s new title will be all about Word War II and it already seems like a thrilling experience. The new Call Of Duty: WW2 Story Trailer is what was missing for us to get hyped about its release and it takes us back to where the franchise started.
In Call Of Duty: WW2 Story Trailer we follow a squad of soldiers in the battlefields of Europe. That’s what the campaign of the game is about and the trailer tries to deliver the feeling of was as emotional as it can. Call Of Duty: WW2 follows the story of Private Ronald “Red” Daniels, a young recruit in the U.S. First Infantry Division, a rookie in the battlefield who gets caught in battle for the first time in D-Day.
As the description of Call Of Duty: WW2 Story Trailer reads:
“D-Day is one of the largest amphibious assaults in history. After surviving the beaches of Normandy, Red and his squad will fight their way across Europe, engaging the enemy in iconic battle locations such as the Hürtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge, as they make their way into Germany.”
As we see in the trailer, the studio didn’t hesitate to bring all the emotions of being in a war and the hard decisions you have to make in the picture, even though fans thought that Call of Duty WW2 would be much more linear than we experience from the trailer.
Last year when Battlefield 1 delivered the same feeling, Call of Duty was given a hard time for not being as emotional as its “competitor” and that’s something Sledgehammer comes to fix this year getting the franchise the emotion and thrill it offers through the years when you get into its single player mode.
In other news, Sony will release a Call of Duty: WW2 PS4 bundle that features the game and a custom camo console with a matching controller to go with the army look. The console has a 1 TB hard drive for you to add your favorite games apart from Call of Duty.
