Dark Souls Bonfires can be found in many videogames as reference to our most loved-to-have game to date. In Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider, the new standalone expansion for Dishonored 2 a Dark Souls Bonfire can be found and it’s an easter egg you don’t want to miss.
A Dark Souls Bonfire is not easy to miss when you see it in a video game. The large sword sitting straight in a fire is a sign that you can”t miss and will for sure remind you of the Souls series. In Dishonored: Death of the Outsider you can find such a bonfire in the third mission on a roof on the bank. You just have to look forward and it’s right there at the far right end of the roof.
In addition, as Tom Marks of IGN figured out, you can find another reference of Arkane videogames on the same mission, where you find a safe deposit box. The name on the box reads “Morgan Yu” who is undeniably the main protagonist from Prey.
If you missed some notable Dark Souls Bonfires in other videogames let us remind you of some. You can find a pretty clear one in Overwatch’s Eichenwald map, on the last checkpoint of the match. The bonfire is in the castle as you walk in behind the wall you are facing when you enter.
There is also a pretty recent one found in Just Cause 3 on the beach in Gauda, depicted as a sniper riffle standing straight on some planks which you can lit up forming a bonfire. There’s another one in Mad Max located in a tunnel under the desert which you can enter by dragging the heavy door blocking the entrance. The last one we find interesting is in Fallout 4, located near Cola Cars Arena, in a house where you see a lootable Chinese Officel Sword sitting on a dimmed fire.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider was released just today, September 15th for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
