Sledgehammer Games has revealed even more Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies details that give us some more insight into the newest version of the game, which will be playable in Call of Duty: WW2. Sledgehammer has apparently been trying their best to make this the most terrifying entry in the side-game yet.
We already know from Sledgehammer’s previous information about the mode that it will be similar to the normal “four players go into some isolated location and fight hordes of zombies until they die” game that previous zombie modes have been.
This time around, players will be entering a Bavarian village in Germany, where the Nazis have been experimenting to create a zombie army to help them win the war in Europe. However, the zombies have broken containment and overrun the facility, and so the players have to try and survive against the endless horde.
Some of the various Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies details talk about enemies that might be new types of zombies, such as flaming and running zombies, along with others that are armed with things like Tesla coils. While we don’t know if things like Hellhounds or other zombie enemies that have been in the modes of previous zombie games, we’ll likely find out when the game releases.
Sledgehammer Games has also said that the perks system is going to be making a return in this version of Call of Duty Zombies, as some of the Call of Duty: WW2 zombies details talked about various rewards and upgrades, some of which might be permanent.
There’s still over another month until Call of Duty: WW2 actually releases, so until that happens you can be on the lookout for more Call of Duty Zombies details from Sledgehammer over the course of the next few weeks. Call of Duty: WW2 comes out on November 3 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
