You Will Get New Spiderman Costume In MVC:I If You Pre-Order Homecoming

If you like to watch movies on your Playstation 4 in addition to playing games, and you’re a Marvel vs Capcom fan, you might want to pre-order the digital version of Spider Man Homecoming. Doing that will net you a new Spiderman costume for use in Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite.

The costume in question is the Superior Spider Man costume, which is in reference to an arc in the Spiderman comics where Doctor Octopus takes over Peter Parker’s body and decides to be a better (or, should we say, “superior”) Spider Man. In addition to a new costume, Peter also gets four new legs that protrude out of his back.

Whether you can actually use these in combat or not remains to be seen, but it would definitely make fighting Spiderman much more dangerous if they used the same sort of mechanics with him as they did D’vorah from Mortal Kombat X, who also had spider legs coming out of her back that allowed her to hit enemies from a good distance away.

You’ll also get a special Spiderman Playstation 4 theme and avatar when you pre-order the movie, meaning that this is a good deal for you if you’re a big fan of Spiderman. However, you won’t have to pre-order the movie to get the costume. If you don’t want to watch Homecoming again and would rather just buy the costume alone, the new Spiderman costume will be available on PSN and Xbox Live for $3.99.

Spider-Man Homecoming will be available for digital download on October 17 of this year, while Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will be coming out on September 19 for North America and Europe, and on September 21 for Japan. So, while you’ve still got a few days to think about whether or not you want to pre-order Homecoming, you don’t have very long.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will be available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
