Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid Is Now Live And It’s About The “World-Eater”

The Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid is the first raid we see in the title since its release and is now live on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Activision revealed a teaser for the raid containing some exposition about its content.

In the teaser we just see a 15 round of symbols changing on a purple jewel that’s set on a golden and marble plate. The symbols are a chalice, two axes, a pair of Cabal soldiers and the last one is the sun and a great War beast. Each one of them seem to have a meaning for the content of the raid.

As we know the Leviathan is the giant ship of Cabal Emperor Calus which he uses to get around in the cosmos. The ship is described as the World-Eater. According to the Cabal Booklet found in the special editions we find that Cabal Emperor Calus is exiled to his ship after his loss to Cabal Red Legion leader Dominus Ghaul, the antagonist in Destiny 2’s campaign, in a coup.

In this booklet Calus also lists the conspirators of his legion inviting anyone to try and wipe them out. As the booklet states:

“So when you succeed, I invite you to walk in my gardens, and to wash yourself in my pools, and to test your might in my arenas. At the end of the game I just may await you, with treasure and with opportunity. For our work is not yet done. No, my champion, my work is not yet done.”

The Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid is live now and has a power level of 270 so you better gear up before you take it up. The 270 range is pretty much where the high leveled players are right now since the game just released. If you are not at that rate though you can team up with some teamates and take advantage of the loot you can get along the way, it’s almost guaranteed to be high level.

In the past days most players that played Destiny 2 got a heavy weapon slot item with the description “Await the World Eater” indicating the arrival of the raid. We don’t know yet if that item is supposed to be your main reward for completing the raid but you can still get some pretty good loot at the end.

Don’t forget that Destiny 2 is not yet available on PC and is set to be released on October 24th through Blizzard App.
