Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid Guide will help you with the entire Raid on how to complete the trials and defeat enemies and which gear is best for this particular raid so that players can efficiently complete it.
Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid is packed with trials, boss fights and challenging puzzles for players to overcome. Raids are six player co-op missions and are the most difficult challenges that players will come across in Destiny 2 and that is where this Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid Guide comes in to guide you through the entire ordeal.
Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid Guide
Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid Guide will detail everything from how to access the raid and down to the strategy on how to complete it.
Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid
To access the Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid, just simply select the Leviathan icon in the Director and you will also need to initiate “On the Comms” questline. Also, players need to make sure that their Light Level is between 260-280 before starting the Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid, however, if you wish to go on a lower level then you can enter it but, it’s barely manageable.
Also, make sure that you start Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid with a full six member fire team for maximum effect.
The recommended weapons for this particular raid are Skyburner’s Oath and Rat King and we will also explain why. Skyburner’s Oath fires solar slugs that deal extra damage to the Cabal and is also useful to penetrate the Phalanx shields. Skyburner’s Oath will help you take down a slew of Cabal that you will encounter in this raid.
As for the Rat King, which might seem like an odd choice but, it can be extremely useful to players in Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid as this weapon is extremely effective if all of the fire team members are using it.
Players will reach the Castellum soon after starting the Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid. In this trial, players need to collect and then defend a collection of Standards. For this trial, it would be recommended if players divide their fire team into two.
One team should remain at the starting point and defend it because the enemies that will spawn can overwhelm players and if they get close the encounter will begin from the start. The second team should head towards the central point and defeat the “Standard Bearer”.
Once the Standard Bearer is defeated it will drop as Standard that players need to bring back to the starting point and players will have to do it three times.
Once all three Standards have been brought to the starting point then a door will open where players will find the first Leviathan Raid loot chest that will grant players a Legendary engram, the Calus’ Selected shader, and the Emperor Calus Tokena Token.
Royal Pools Trial
In this trial, players will encounter four pressure plates and a fifth pressure plate will be located in the middle. Each pressure plate has an Orb that grants player Psionic Protection buff that protects players from environmental damage. However, this buff only remains for a limited time and lasts for one minute. make sure you and your team mates get this buff before starting the trial.
Royal Pools Trial will require players to assume the position on each of the pressure plates to slowly raise the weight that will expose nine lanterns which needs to be destroyed. However, it is not that simple. While four will maintain their position on the pressure plates, the rest will defend and revive them should they fall in the battle.
Waves of enemies will spawn that players need to take care of and a Ceremonial Bather will also spawn which will prove to be quite challenging. It is recommended that players focus their max damage dealing weapons on this particular enemy and kill it asap.
Also, when the Psionic Protection buff is about to expire, the player should swap his position with another one and refreshes their buff at the fifth spot. After some time the lanterns will be exposed and the team needs to destroy them at once otherwise, players will need to go through this phase all over again. Once they are destroyed, grab the loot and move ahead.
Leviathan Castellum Trial
This trail is almost the same as the previous Castellum Trails as players will again need to retrieve and defend Standards. However, this time around the central point has been shifted to one of the points in the surrounding area. Regardless of this, use the two team strategy all over again and once the Standards have been collected move ahead.
Pleasure Gardens Trial
Pleasure Gardens Trial is way more difficult than the previous trials that you have faced to this point. First, kill all the enemies that you will encounter and two members of the fire team need to pick up the orbs and charge them up using the light. Once that is done an opening will appear under the statue and grab the pollens inside.
This where things will get tricky. If a player carrying the pollen gets spotted, a countdown will appear and if hits zero then the players out in the open are going to get obliterated. SO that is why players carrying the orbs need to carefully guide the pollen holders towards the flower. Once the pollen is at the Flower, the players will need to fire at it with the orb to charge them.
Once it is charged the players will Pollen will need to attack one of the Royal beasts with the pollen. This will also start the countdown and the beast needs to be taken down quickly. Repeat this process until all the beasts are dead, just keep your nerve and be patient.
Leviathan Castellum Trials
Once again the players will need to do the same what they have done in the previous Castellum Trials. Collect the standards and defend them. When three have been collected move ahead.
The Gauntlet Trial
Start the Gauntlet Trial by jumping onto the round platforms and summons enemies. Kill them and steadily fill up the meter under each pillar in the room. Eventually, two orbs will spawn, two of the team members will have to pick them up and bring them to the tunnels in the surrounding area.
The players in the tunnel will then need to run through gates with rows of circles on them. Energy barrier closes off these uniquely designed gates so the tunnel runners need to quickly call out which gate’s row of circles has a red energy barrier.
Then the team outside will have a limited time to shoot at the rows of glowing triangles on the corresponding gate that doesn’t contain a red circle. Successfully pulling this off will open up a gate which will clear patch for the tunnel runners and the runners then need to throw their orbs into an energy fountain.
This needs to be done three times by the entire team and when all have thrown their orbs in the fountain the trial will end.
Emperor Calus Trial
For this trial, players will make their way to the Emperor Calus’ throne room. Initiate the battle by shooting the cup in his hand and he will start summoning waves of enemies. Shortly afterward, three players will be transported to a purple dimension to battle with a giant projection of his head and the other will be left in the throne room to defend themselves.
Four Psions will spawn in the throne room and each will have a symbol floating above them, just make sure you don’t kill them. The three in the purple dimensions will notice a different symbol on the Calus’ projection and each of them will need to tell the symbol to the players in the throne room and they need to kill the Psion aligned with the symbol that wasn’t called out. This will lower the barriers surrounding the Calus’ projection.
The projection will then start to spew skull projectiles and once this is over orbs will spawn that can take the players back into the throne room and every player needs to climb on the platform that is glowing in order to receive the Force of Will buff.
Shoot Calus until he becomes invincible and the move to next glowing platform to shoot him again and also avoid the attacks as they can instantly wipe out the team. Repeat this process until the Calus is dead.
That is all for our Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid Guide with tips on how to complete the trial which weapons are the best in this Raid.
