A rather unnerving new Assassin’s Creed Origins trailer has been dropped by Ubisoft, not only promising a new gameplay trailer, but also threatening players with revenge and death. The threats, given off by people in various masks, maybe important characters in the game, but we can’t really know that yet.
The trailer is entitled “Masks of Conspiracy”, and mainly has the various masked figures that feature in the trailer asking the viewer if they remember who they are, and that they are everywhere. Whatever this means for the game’s story remains to be seen, but maybe we’ll get more information with tomorrow’s trailer.
There have been a number of new trailers and videos that Ubisoft has been releasing about the game and showing off gameplay, so the Assassin’s Creed Origins trailer that is coming tomorrow may not be any different. However, we may get some more information about possibly some of the more notable NPCs and possible villains in the game, along with the story.
Considering we don’t really appear to have any idea of the plot of Assassin’s Creed Origins, other than the fact that it appears to take place during the time of Cleopatra, near the fall of Ptolemaic Egypt when Rome conquered the country and turned it into a province.
We can likely expect the main antagonist of the game to be either of Roman or Egyptian nationality, but other than that, we still have yet to learn of exactly what the story is about.
Either way, we only have to wait until tomorrow until the new Assassin’s Creed Origins trailer with gameplay comes out, meaning that we’ll get to see more of the game in action rather than pre-rendered cutscenes. Assassin’s Creed Origins is going to be releasing on October 27 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
