An Autumn Rocket League update is going to be coming to the game soon, and will be bringing a lot of new content to the game. This includes a new stadium, the start of the sixth competitive season, and a number of new customization options for players to make use of.
Along with all of the things mentioned above, a new mechanic will also be coming to the game in the form of Events. These will be limited-time events that players can participate in for special awards, such as the Decryptor, a device that allows players to open chests without having to use a key.
The Autumn Rocket League update will include the Farmstead arena, a seasonal arena that will be available in Casual, Private, and Competitive matches this fall. There will also be 90 free new customization items that will be added in as drops ranging from Uncommon to Very Rare. Player Banners, a new customization feature that will let you customize banners on your car, are also being added in.
Considering Rocket League is one of the most popular arcade games on the Playstation 4 and the game’s other platforms, with a number of different platforms and a huge playerbase, the fact that the game is still getting updates and still going strong in a competitive sense is definitely something that you can’t really say for a lot of other multiplayer-based games like it.
If you still play Rocket League, even if you don’t do it competitively, new customization options might be appealing to you if you still play it with your friends and want to show off stuff they’ve unlocked.
Psyonix, the developers of the game, will be giving out more information about the Autumn Rocket League update as the date for its release draws closer. In the meantime, if you’re waiting for the update, you might want to brush up on your skills.
