Just recently, Rockstar Games introduced a new mode to GTA V that resembled PUBGs in many ways, however, it seems that Rockstar is not the only one trying to dip into the PUBGs magic as Epic Games has announced that it is also doing that same with Fortnite by introducing the Fortnite Battle Royale mode.
Epic Games has rolled out a new trailer for Fortnite featuring the Battle Royale mode which will drop on September 26, 2017, which is just two weeks away. Epic Games has made it clear that they are fans of the genre and has drawn inspiration from the PUBGs.
Fortnite Battle Royale mode follows the same rules as the PUBGs and will feature 100 players against each other on a giant map. The game mode will also feature destructible environments and the last man standing will win.
Speaking of PUBGs, PUBGs creator Brandon Greene has also clarified that there is no single-player campaign planned for PUBG. Brendan Greene stated that for PUBG Singleplayer campaign, it is important to create a lore and currently there is none for the game. He explained further before straight up confirming that there is no PUBG single-player campaign planned.
Also, Bluhole Studio is preparing to deal with the PUBGs AFK farming and plan to tackle it soon, however, the studio admits they don’t know what will be the solution.
We know that the portion of players that are AFKing.. isn’t that high as of now, but we do want to create a tool or vehicles to prevent players from just trying to earn BP [Battle Points] and not playing the game.
It could be us just adjusting the balance of BPs being earnt after each game or just from a structure point of view, preventing AFKs as a whole. We haven’t full decided on a direction for that yet.
Fortnite is a co-op survival game developed by Epic Games for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
