Balance and Power Spikes Coming to Battlefield 1 Incursion Mode
EA DICE confirmed Battlefield 1 Incursion mode at Gamescom 2017. Talking about the mode with GamesIndustry, producer David Sirland stated that balance and power strikes are coming with the Incursion mode. He mentioned that they are approaching this as an in-game progression system.
It restarts every round and allows the developers to create a power spike for both the kits and vehicle kits. Battlefield 1 Incursion mode is currently a part of the public test servers. You can down the server if you own the season pass for Battlefield 1
So we’re approaching it using an in-game progression system which resets every round. which allows us to create a power spike for both the kits and the vehicle kits – early, mid or late game – and that way we can ensure that balance is ever shifting. And eventually, if you pick a late game kit or vehicle you will reach your full potential, but you might have lost the game already. So it’s all about building your team together with your teammates and using what fits the situation the best
Incursion mode will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC as well as Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro. The mode features small 5v5 battles that contain vehicles as well. It would be interesting to see how they balance it out.
With the release of the September update, developers are also adding support for HDR10. The whole package comes in the form of In the Name of Tsar DLC featuring new maps and weapons. The DLC is a part of the season pass but is available separately as well.
